Optimist vs. Pessimist
"There's a light at the end of the tunnel" says the optimist.
"It's probably a train coming straight at us" responds the pessimist.
Life is all about your point of view. Look at it from a positive perspective.

...or Be the tunnel and BE the light, here and now in this moment, then it is joyful to explore the tunnel even if the train is coming because you ARE the train too.
How about it's the light from a derailed train?
It's all very well to say 'be positive', but your little anecdote establishes nothing. Effectively, your post is a non-sequitur in that the second part purports to derive from the first,
but doesn't.
